2018 Vintage Notes
The near picture-perfect growing season began in late February. Spring was mild, with extended flowering yielding uniform grape clusters and almost normal crop load. Temperatures remained steady and warm throughout the growing season, without any significant heat spikes, making for a cool, unhurried harvest. Patience was the name of the game as we picked our first Sauvignon Blanc September 4th and our last Cabernet Sauvignon October 30th. Due to the luxurious amount of hang time in the vineyard, Crocker & Starr 2018 wines are showing to have incredible color, balance, and density.

The estate fruit captures tropical aromas of ripe mango, white peach, and orange blossom. Perfectly harmonious flavors follow true to the aromas while layers of guava, key lime, and crushed stone minerality dance on the palate. The mouthfeel is tactile and lush while savory natural acidity keep the flavors going for a long finish.
